Anomalous Technologies is a Cape Town consultancy. We provide fractional CTO and vCISO leadership, penetration testing, and secure AI development to startups and enterprises across South Africa and remotely.
Christo founded Anomalous Technologies and is CTO at FortifyOps. He has spent more than ten years delivering technology across software development, infrastructure, and security.
The work is hands-on. He helps startups build their technical foundations — from choosing the right stack to building an engineering team — and helps organisations that handle sensitive data raise their security posture and prepare for POPIA and ISO 27001 readiness.
He also builds AI and agentic systems himself, which shapes how we secure them: threat models and guardrails come from someone who has shipped this kind of system, not only reviewed it. Technical write-ups from that work are on the blog.
